I was hooked by Dr. Seuss early on and I have refused to grow up. The trail led through Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys to Hemingway, Vonnegut, Richard Brautigan, Shirley Jackson, Steinbeck, and Twain to Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, William Goldman, Ira Levin and Neil Gaiman with many bizarre detours along the way, from western to romance to hard science fiction.
